I have been photographing monthly at our local public market since August 2006. Throughout the seasons-in the frigid months of winter and the high heat of summer-they are there at the market. By getting their permission to take their picture and giving them a copy afterward, I have found this to be a wonderful way to get to know our local farmers and vendors. We have observed how we have grown and changed over the years!
In this year's calendar, I feature one farmer or vendor a month with photos taken during that month and also at other times of the year. Thanks to the farmers and vendors whose dedication to our local public market enables many of us to eat locally grown produce throughout the year.
